Happy Teacher Revolution
The Brief:
Create a mark and set of brand guidelines for Happy Teacher Revolution
The Challenge:
Capture the spirit of Happy Teacher Revolution, a non profit that focuses on the mental health of teachers across the nation, in an approachable mark that can be used on merchandise and for all marketing materials for HTR’s in-person events.
The Solution:
I explored lots of teacher-inspired imagery but kept coming back to the iconic shape of an apple with a smile (we called it the “smapple”) where the seeds are the eyes. The rounded edges and No matter what I explored me and the founder of Happy Teacher Revolution both agreed that this mark ould stand alone on the merchandise that she wanted to create. I laid the groundwork of a brand guide that they could eventually expand as the non-profit expanded.
Ultimate Bomb Blaster
The Brief:
Create a logo and stylized app store screencaps for the mobile game Ultimate Bomb Blaster
The Challenge:
Create an exciting logo to brand Ultimate Bomb Blaster and use design elements from the game to create exciting and enticing screencaps for the app store.
The Solution:
I did a deep dive into the iconography and motion used in gameplay and pulled out some of the most iconic shapes that I found to add in and around the logo. I created the typography myself to resemble the grid that the game is based on.
Knotty Pine Rebrand
The Brief:
Rebrand a local pub in Baltimore MD. to have a mark and signage that the community resonates with.
The Challenge:
The owner reached out because he was ready to move from the outdated signage that had been created on microsoft word years ago. He wanted something that the quickly changing community in Baltimore, MD. would resonate with but was very hesitant to have signs that looked “too hipster”.
The Solution:
The owner of the restaurant was very interested in having all signage be burned into wood so I created a simple mark that could easily translate onto wood and still be readable without too many small details. We went back and forth alot until we landed on a simple and text based mark without any imagery.
